Livingstone Etse Satekla (Stonebwoy) - Livingstone Foundation
Running to Be: Celebrity Humanitarian
Stonebwoy Burniton, born Livingstone Etse Satekla is a Ghanaian Afro pop, dancehall, and reggae artiste who hails from the Volta Region. This BET Best International African Act winner and 4 time Ghana Music Award Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year works to use his musical influence as a catalyst for social justice awareness and change in Ghana.
His newly developed foundation, The Livingstone Foundation focuses on education and youth empowerment, disability awareness, and community involvement. The Livingstone Foundation has participated in several student and accident patient sponsorships and awareness raising initiatives.
Stonebwoy strives to use his foundation as a platform for Ghanaians to engage in humanitarian efforts. As an accident survivor resulting in a physical disability, Stonebwoy uses his personal experience as an example to youth to show kindness towards all who have faced hardships and that disabilities do not limit one's success.
His work as brand ambassador for multiple humanitarian organizations such as MASO's Youth in Cocoa Farming Initiative and UNHCR's LuquLuqu Ambassador for African Refugees pushes Ghanaians to become involved and educated on social issues involving Ghanaians and the African community at large.
