ZYLOFON TO SPONSOR GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE
According to sources close to Ghana FA, the total money to be spent on Ghana Premier League by Zylofon Cash as sponsorship is $10 million for five years.
In view of this, $2 million will be per each season, and each of the 16 top-flight clubs will earns $71,000. Therefore, each club will amass a total of $355,000 after the entire duration.
Of course, there was an unknown agent, who according to reports introduced the boss of Zylofon to Ghana FA but wasn't part of all the discussions. So he/she will rakes $750,000 which represents 7.5 per cent, for his role.
Again, $11,000 each season will be used by Ghana FA for administrative purposes and officiating fees for the top-flight and second-tier league.
In summary, I believe this isn't bad, judging from our recent experiences in this country. But, just like in Charles Dickens' second novel Oliver Twist, I'll ask for more if not now, in the future.
