Chelsea are preparing a £50m bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani

Chelsea are preparing a £50m bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Sunday Express.
Blues manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be unhappy with the striking options at his disposal and would like the club to strengthen up front during the January transfer window.
Cavani is 31 years of age, and with the Uruguayan’s contract at PSG expiring in 18 months, it would be very surprising if Chelsea made an offer as high as being reported.
The London club have a policy of offering just one-year contract extensions to players in their thirties and while Sarri is said to be keen to bring in a new forward, the club may seek out a younger or cheaper alternative instead.

AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain could be available on a loan deal while Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
However, reports in the English media suggest the Cherries will…

TRANSFERS: CHELSEA’S PURSUIT OF ATTACKER THREATENED BY MEDDLING AGENT’S GREED

Napoli offered Hirving Lozano by agent Mino Raiola. Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Mexican. Chelsea face competition from Maurizio Sarri’s former employers Napoli in the race to sign PSV winger Hirving Lozano.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move to sign Lozano. The Blues are in dire need of adding goals to their attack this month, with a move for Lozano being considered as a possibility.

A potential stumbling block from our perspective would be the Mexican’s agent. You could forgive Marina Granovskaia for being reluctant to do business with Raiola for his conduct in negotiations over Romelu Lukaku.
Raiola continually values his greed ahead of his client’s best interests. He’s only ever interested in filling …

Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich approach Chelsea for Morata

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is the subject of German transfer interest this week. While he scored twice in victory over FA Cup opponents Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Morata's future this month remains clouded.
Marca says Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have approached Chelsea about a price for the Spaniard.
Bayern are also in talks for Morata's teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi.
AC Milan and Sevilla have also registered their interest for Morata this month.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will sanction his departure if a replacement can be found.
